For SVN to GitHub part, this is now the easiest way: https://github.com/new/import Help page: https://help.github.com/en/github/importing-your-projects-to-github/importing-a-repository-with-github-importer But it doesn’t import issues.

How to resolve “abandoned transaction” when I use “hg push”?

In my case I had to run hg recover on the remote machine to which I was pushing to. It fixed the problems and I could push the changes from my machine.
