This is a known bug in Windows Azure VS Tools

Workarounds:

  • Remove Newtonsoft.Json.dll file from Program Files\Microsoft
    SDKs\Windows Azure.NET SDK\v2.3\ref\ folder.

  • Uninstall Windows Azure VS Tools v 2.3
