SQL: Combine Select count(*) from multiple tables

SELECT 
(select count(*) from foo1 where ID = '00123244552000258')
+
(select count(*) from foo2 where ID = '00123244552000258')
+
(select count(*) from foo3 where ID = '00123244552000258')

This is an easy way.
