Why can’t I import AndroidJUnit4 and ActivityTestRule into my unit test class?

Add these in the newer version:

androidTestImplementation 'com.android.support.test:rules:1.0.2'
androidTestImplementation 'com.android.support.test:runner:1.0.2'
