Sending credentials with cross-domain posts?

Functionality is supposed to be broken in jQuery 1.5.

Since jQuery 1.5.1 you should use xhrFields param.

$.ajaxSetup({
    type: "POST",
    data: {},
    dataType: 'json',
    xhrFields: {
       withCredentials: true
    },
    crossDomain: true
});
