Save Spark dataframe as dynamic partitioned table in Hive

I believe it works something like this:

df is a dataframe with year, month and other columns

df.write.partitionBy('year', 'month').saveAsTable(...)

or

df.write.partitionBy('year', 'month').insertInto(...)
