How to get CSS to select ID that begins with a string (not in Javascript)?

[id^=product]

^= indicates “starts with”. Conversely, $= indicates “ends with”.

The symbols are actually borrowed from Regex syntax, where ^ and $ mean “start of string” and “end of string” respectively.
