getJSON Synchronous

Since $.getJSON() uses ajax configurations, just set the global ajax configs:

// Set the global configs to synchronous 
$.ajaxSetup({
    async: false
});

// Your $.getJSON() request is now synchronous...

// Set the global configs back to asynchronous 
$.ajaxSetup({
    async: true
});
