Compare a string using sh shell

You should use the = operator for string comparison:

Sourcesystem="ABC"

if [ "$Sourcesystem" = "XYZ" ]; then 
    echo "Sourcesystem Matched" 
else
    echo "Sourcesystem is NOT Matched $Sourcesystem"  
fi;

man test says that you use -z to match for empty strings.
