Deleting the Genymotion cached .ova file, deleting the corrupted deployed image, redownloading the image, and reinstalling it addressed the issue for me.
Note that the deployed images are under:
~/.Genymobile/Genymotion/deployed
the cached ova files are under:
~/.Genymobile/Genymotion/ova
