How do we manually fix “ResourceRules.plist: cannot read resources” error after xcode 6.1 upgrade?
If you’re using Jenkins with the XCode plugin, you can modify the ‘Code Signing Resource Rules Path’ variable by adding: “CODE_SIGN_RESOURCE_RULES_PATH=$(SDKROOT)/ResourceRules.plist” to the ‘Custom xcodebuild arguments’ setting for the XCode plugin. This fix does not require the XCode GUI.

Changing language on iOS 8.1 simulator does not work
According to the release notes this is a known issue. There is a work around. If you go to “Edit Scheme…” then the “Options” tab there’s an “Application Language” option. This only affects the current run settings, not the app, much like changing the language of the device.
Unable to boot device in current state: Booted
In Xcode go to the Xcode menu->Open Developer Tool – IOS Simulators. Choose simulator and then go hardware->device->manage device. If the troubled device shows in the left column, delete it. Then add the device back from the ‘+’ button. If it wasn’t there in the first place, simply add it using the ‘+’ button.
