Indeed, it’s Nexus indexes. You can disable partially or totally Nexus indexes retrieval by right clicking on repositories in the Maven repositories view and checking/uncheking Disable Index Details/Enable Minimum Index/Full Index Enabled (options with M2Eclipse 0.12). Hereunder a screenshot:

I figured it out. In order to save your Jenkins data on other drive you’ll need to do the following: Workspace Root Directory: E:\Jenkins\${ITEM_FULL_NAME}\workspace Build Record Root Directory: E:\Jenkins\${ITEM_FULL_NAME}\builds

I use export->preferences->all then change to a new workspace and import the prefs. Works fine (though clearly not very comfortable). Unfortunately, eclipse only offers to copy the layout settings when changing workspaces which is not enough for most purposes.
Building workspace is about incremental build of any evolution detected in one of the opened projects in the currently used workspace. It works for me if I tick the box Prompt for workspace on startup, which you can find in Window → Preferences → General → Startup and Shutdown → Workspaces.
