Check there is no postmaster.pid in your postgres directory, probably /usr/local/var/postgres/ remove this and start server. Check – https://github.com/mperham/lunchy is a great wrapper for launchctl.
Try running also sudo rm -rf /var/db/receipts/com.mysql.*
