Multiple populates – mongoosejs

You’re already using the correct syntax of:

OrderModel.find()
    .populate('user')
    .populate('meal')
    .exec(function (err, results) {
         // callback
    });

Perhaps the meal ObjectId from the order isn’t in the Meals collection?
