It’s quite simple really.
String cookieString = "cookie_name=cookie_value; path=/";
CookieManager.getInstance().setCookie(baseUrl, cookieString);
where cookieString is formatted the same as a more traditional Set-Cookie HTTP header, and baseUrl is the site the cookie should belong to.
